Mobile offices are the here and now. The transition isn't easy...
I would not consider completely eliminating my physical office space and replacing it with all mobile and virtual office functions, but it's something to be considered.
In my quest for the perfect computer for real estate, I am definitely attracted to the tablet laptops similar to the iPad technology. My sales team spends hours on the computer to upload photos, listing information, blogging, emailing, updating social networking sites, etc. Real estate is all on line, so we are constantly updating our listings at all hours of the day.
I personally need something to carry around that is much larger than my Blackberry screen. Going blind trying to see everything on that tiny screen! My team members could work more easily from a virtual office at an open house, listing presentation, etc. with a tablet PC. Laptops used to be considered the easy mobile office. Why all of a sudden does a laptop seem like a hassle to drag around?
I ran across this article from PC World Magazine on line. Great stuff!
